The Lokals is a collection of 5,000 unique NFTs generated on the Ethereum blockchain, with the minting price of 0.1 ETH
If you happen to be travelling by a train through former Yugoslavia in the 80’s, heading south to the coast of the Adriatic sea, you would travel past Ljubljana, through Zagreb (the capital city of Croatia) and eventually hit the end of the railroad tracks in a small coastal Mediterranean town of Split.
A vibrant melting pot of ideologies, lifestyles and ideas, situated on the crossroads of the failing socialistic idea and the promise of the American dream!
The local musicians and artists were the first to embrace the avant-garde anti-establishment ideology, that made Croatia the center of modernistic movements of the day.
80’s, Mediterranean, New Tendencies, punk music, rebellion and pursuit of individuality!
MELTING POT OF IDEOLOGIES AND CHARACTERS
The town where Lokals live! A vibrant melting pot of ideologies, lifestyles and characters!
The Townies
Split 3, a new part of the city that became the center of the new movement, where The Townies live. The townies are your everyday lokals that form the main fabric of our town!
The Workers
A big part of the city is the shipyard Shkver where The Workers live! No town can exist without its skilled workers! These Lokals are not afraid of a little manual labor!
The Athletes
Sporting center Koteks is where The Athletes live! They are always ready for some action! But some of them also just like how they look wearing some cool sporting gear!
The Beach Boys
-Let’s not forget the beaches on the other side of the town, most famous called Bachvice, where we find The Beach Boys! They enjoy the sun, which Split has in abundance, playing picigin (a local sport played in shallow water with a small ball) and trying to pick up women who came to get tanned!
The Artists
-Underground club The Cube is the meeting spot for all artistic types- musicians, painters, performers. Thats where The Artists hang out!
This is our stage -a small Mediterranean town of Split and that’s where our story is set!

It will be a group effort spearheaded by award winning directors and producers Veljko and Milivoj Popovic and the creative force Bozo Balov!

Road map :
1. LAUNCH OF THE COLLECTION!
This has been a long time in the making!
From the very first work we made with Bozo Balov, on our AWARD WINNING VR short film “Dislocation” till today! His unique and instantly recognizable style and approach to 3d immediately caught our eye and we all knew this was something we wanted to develop further! Soon characters started popping out of Bozo’s brain and into the screen, captivating everybody who saw them, getting onto front pages of Reddit, being featured on prominent FB groups and garnering attention on Twitter and Instagram!
NFT’s were minted and just as quickly SOLD!
Inspired by his Mediterranean hometown of Split/Croatia, Bozo soon started to create not just characters but the whole world they live in!
PrimeRender collective loves challenging standards and pushing the envelope.
This is certainly seen in Bozos unique visuals, but we didn’t want to stop there! We decided to make an animated generative NFT collection! Every NFT consists of a still image, animation in mp4 and gif format!
The entire Lokals collection keeps that same QUALITY, IMAGINATION and UNIQUENESS that Bozo Balov is known for!
Each asset is carefully crafted and will make this one of the most beautiful collections out there!
MINTING DATE will be announced as soon as everything is ready and all the Lokals are alive!

4. THE LOKALS METAVERSE!
PrimeRender started as a game development studio, way back in 2002!
Yes, we’re that old! 🙂 Back in the day we were writing our own game engine and making games! We took all that technical experience, combined it with our prolific creative side that made an award winning VR short animated film “Dislocation”!
And now we will take all that combined experience and apply it to The Lokals Metaverse!
Pushing the technical limits and exploring new ways of story telling and audience engagement is what we do best! Expect all of that and more in The Lokals Metaverse! More to come!!
